The role of a woman in the state building

The meeting of the Chairman of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan – a candidate nominated by the proportional list of the Democratic Party of Artsakh (DPA) with the members of the Women’s Council that took part in the state Musical college after Sayat-Nova went beyond the usual election campaign and looked more like a relaxed and sincere conversation about the role of the party, the work done and main points of the election program.

Underlining the role of the women in the upbringing of a physically healthy, comprehensively educated and decent dignified generation, Ashot Ghoulyan noted that today a heavy burden of responsibility is laid on the fragile their shoulders. They have to participate equally with men in the liquidation of the consequences of the war and economic rehabilitation of the country and improvement of Artsakh. “Your role is especially indisputable in the sphere of education, culture and health care, aimed at the education and establishment of the moral values of the younger generation” – noted the chairman of the Parliament adding that from now on women will be actively involved in legislative and executive structures.

In her turn the chairman of the Women’s Council Susanna Avsharyan noted that in a short period of time Women’s Council managed to organize a number of interesting events – visit large families, retirement home and military units. In this regard she noted the essay competition organized in the Medical and Military after Ch. Ivanyan dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide.

DPA leader Ashot Ghoulyan expressed satisfaction with the fact that in a short period of time a lot of interesting work has been done and new ideas have been developed by the women’s council

According to the party leader, difference in party should not make obstacles. “Candidates should try to rally the people, who are close to each other in thinking, ideology and ideas”, he added.

Touching upon the electoral Party program, Ashot Ghoulyan in particular added: “We continue living in a situation of a fragile peace. We should realize that first of all the soldiers on combat duty, 18-20 year-olds, who guard the peace  in our country, are mostly in need of the state care. The enemy has launched the military aggression. The fighting is ongoing. We can win only if our internal life is peaceful. These elections should make us stronger. We have to be sure that our people make the right choice and people gave their voices to those who they trusted.
